Our Doctors
Mid-Ohio Pediatrics & Adolescents is an association of seven physicians. Each doctor is Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. All teach at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where they are clinical assistant professors of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sidney L. Couling
Dr. Sidney L. Couling attended Bowling Green University for his undergraduate studies and received his medical degree from Ohio State. He completed both his internship and residency in pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and served two years with the National Health Service in Georgia. He and his wife Kathy live in Upper Arlington with their three children.
Dr. Kent W. Doherty
Dr. Kent W. Doherty received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and his medical degree from Ohio University. He completed his residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital where he was named "House Officer of the Year" in 1994. Dr. Doherty was also voted the Miner Seymour Award, given to the outstanding senior resident by the practicing pediatricians in the area. Dr. Doherty and his wife Kim live in Powell with their three sons.
Dr. Elizabeth M. Jacob
Dr. Elizabeth M. Jacob attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biology. She received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University and completed both her internship and residency in pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Jacob, her husband and child reside in Grandview.
Dr. Steven E. Lindner
Dr. Steven E. Lindner was born in Columbus. He received both his bachelor's and medical degrees from Ohio State and trained in pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He spent his first year out of residency attending at Children's Emergency Department and has been in private practice since 1985. He, his wife Tamera and three children live in Westerville.
Dr. Richard A. Petrella
Dr. Richard A. Petrella served his residency at Children's Hospital after receiving a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame and a medical degree from Ohio State. He is presently a member of the Central Ohio Pediatric Society. In 1987 he was honored with the Chester Kasmersky Teaching Award of Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Petrella lives with his wife Vickie, daughter and son in Westerville.
Dr. Eileen Hewitt Sheets
Dr. Eileen Hewitt Sheets received her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and her medical degree from The Ohio State University. She completed both her internship and residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Sheets and her husband reside in Powell with their two sons.
Dr. Kathleen J. Fulop
Dr. Kathleen J. Fulop received both her Bachelors Degree in Molecular Genetics and her medical degree from The Ohio State University. She completed her residency program at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and received the Resident Teaching Award from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1997. She and her husband, James, reside in Powell with their son.
Dr. Meera R. Mehta
Dr. Meera R. Mehta received her bachelor's degree from the University of Akron and her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical Univerity. She completed her internship and residency at
Nationwide Children's Hospital.
